Online Poker Recap and New WSOP Plans...

Since I "re-dedicated" myself to online poker about a week ago, the results have been very encouraging.

Last Wednesday I took down the PokerStars $109 2R1A for ~7k, and got 2nd in the Full Tilt $109+R for ~8k.

On Sunday I got fourth in the big afternoon PokerStars $109+R for ~$26k. I was chipleader with five to go, so I'm somewhat disappointed in the outcome, but there's not much I could do differently.

After a day off Monday, and nothing better than a 9th in the Full Tilt $109 1R1A on Tuesday night, I had a big night again on Wednesday. I chopped the PokerStars $109+R heads-up for ~$18k and went on to win it. Simultaneously, I took a very disappointing 7th in the UB $1k for ~7k. I was a big chipleader with 8 left, but lost some ridiculous pots to an absolutely TERRIBLE player, all-in preflop with A9 < 42 (yes 42) and KQ < 55, and then when I was short, my K8 busting vs Ryanwelch's 44. Basically I couldn't catch a break, and had to settle for seventh.

These scores add up to almost $65k, obviously very good for only four low-volume sessions. Unfortunately, a huge score narrowly eluded me a couple times, but overall I clearly can't complain with how I'm running/playing. Honestly, I'm not that surprised: while these few sessions are clearly way above expectation, I am always very confident that when I am focused and motivated that I am one of the best players online, and I know my upcoming results will prove that (again) to anyone paying attention.

So, since I'm on this big upswing both money-wise and confidence-wise, I decided to head out to Vegas early for the WSOP. While I do have some awesome shit planned (my birthday July 1, "Love" Cirque du Soleil July 2, and Jay-Z @ the Palms July 3) I am going to Vegas to DO WORK. Before those events, I am going to do NOTHING but grind, even though I will be in Vegas surrounded by temptation. So, let me apologize in advance to any of my friends out there that I might neglect; as the man Hov himself would say, "I'm so focused, mannnnnn."

My NEW WSOP schedule is as follows:

Tues Jun 23: $10k PLH World Championship
Weds Jun 24: $2500 Mixed HE (if I don't make day 2 of the 10k)
Sat Jun 27: $1500 NL (my first-ever WSOP $1500)
Tues Jun 30: $5k NL 6max
Sun/Mon Jul 5/6: Day 1C or Day 1D of the Main Event (haven't decided)

Clearly I will keep you guys posted on my results. I guess this is somewhat of a WSOP blog after all.
