Quick WSOP updates...

So I got into Vegas on Monday and... yeah.

The $10,000 PLH World Championship began on Tuesday, and I got off to a pretty good start. My table was very, very soft with only a couple exceptions, and it was pretty easy to know what everyone had every hand. I didn't play particularly well, but had a couple of huge pots gifted to me (including JJ v J9 all in pre for 110k at 6/1200... yeah.) so I was able to ride that down till the end of the day. Unfortunately the last couple hours didn't go my way, and I finished the day with 56,000, going into 1200/2400 blinds.

Day 2 got off to a very good start. On the fourth hand I won QQ>AJ aipf for about 95-100k. And then the rollercoaster began.

After that pot I lost a few pots in a row to get me short again. I had a couple nice reshoves with KQ and J9s, and was able to chip up without showdown.

When I was back up to about 50k at 1500/3000, I raised to 8000 with AQ in late position. Vanessa Rousso (who plays very, very poorly in my opinion) flatted out of the small blind with Q9dd. The flop came QJx with two diamonds. Obviously the chips got in, and fortunately I was able to hold and double up.

A couple hands later I busted Kathy Liebert with AA vs. her A5o. I felt like I was steamrolling, and at my peak I was up to about 175k at 2k/4k.

Then... sigh.

I made a play at a very tight player with Js9x on a 8s7s2x flop, and unfortunately ran into his set of 7's. He faded my gutshot, and I was back down to about 80k.

I lost another couple pots (including another pot to Vanessa who flatted 1/3 her stack out of the SB with QJo and cracked my AJ) and ended up busting when I jammed 10 bb's with AT over two limpers, and ran into AQ. I busted 46th, 19 shy of the money.

I don't think I played world-class, but I definitely played well enough to go deep in that tournament, other than that J9 blowup. Oh well.

Today I played the 1500. It started less than two hours ago. Yes, it went well.

Anyways, my last two events are the $5k 6max on Tuesday, and the Main Event, so I will keep you guys posted when I finally play those.
