The Australian Government are donkeys - Joe Hachem DS Series - Chipmeup

Now for something that really alarmed me they other day.. And this mainly affects Australian residents. It is about a supposed list of websites that the Australian Govt is planning to block in May/June.. On this list this includes Online Poker/Gamming Sites.

This is an absolute outrage ! How is it that in a country like Australia we can have the decision on what information we view or use restricted or taken away from us..?

I’m left with a thought of a major dilemma.. What happens if one day I wake up and can not play Online Poker anymore ?
There would be thousands of Australians that overnight would have there source of income removed and funds locked away or seized.

Would I move to another country ?
Would I investigate having some kind of illegal internet connection ?

This is an issue that really concerns me and I will keep you updated with any news.

I’m incredibly tired at the moment from the Joe Hachem DS series that has been running for the last 2 weeks at Crown Casino. I have been at the casino pretty much everyday doing some very long session without much glory at all.
The series if you are not familiar with it is a series of relatively low buy-in events with deep stacks and lots of play.. Well most people saw thru this fairly quickly and realized that it was not so deep and not so much play.. To be honest the first few events were shocking.. Terrible players , 11 handed tables and silly blind level jumps all equaled a very frustrating first week.
The second week was not so bad had a deep run in the $340 2-day event.. Ended up basically bubbling which sucked. Cashed in the 6-max and had a 6th place finish in the Shorthand shoot out. No joy at all in the Main Event..

Big Congrats to Jono “xMONSTERxDONGx” and Steve Topaks who both took down a title each.

I Feel played some good poker for most of the 2 weeks.. Fatigue was definitely an issue towards the end and I’m certainly pleased to be having a break.
