This is my first entry into a poker blog, so I think I'll start off with my lowly credentials. I started playing poker in high school. Nothing big, just some home games for 5$ where we didn't even keep track of the blinds. I instantly was successful, gaining on my opponents by analyzing their hands and reading my opponents. I became obsessed with the game of poker, and started playing as much as I could.

I've had some experience in live games, included getting sucked out in a 100$ tournament with bullets against AK suited. My big success came in a 78 person tournament when I went into the final table with chip lead, and took out 6 of the last 7 to win the tournament. Although I haven't played in many big live tournaments, I've played at home games for as long as I can remember.

My favorite poker memory is when I was a senior in high school I went to a big party at a rich persons house, and these 3 guys thought they could take me in some poker. I happened to have 20 bucks on me, and I told them to put their money where their mouth was, so they did. I was pretty drunk at this point, and mind you these guys were in college when I'm in high school but I played them so hardcore. at one point, I even used the line "does a straight beat a flush?", then proceeded to check raise with nothing. I took their money and drank their beer with a smile on my face.

I've played online poker in stints. I recently played on full tilt poker for 3 months straight. I played alot of 2$ sit and gos and didnt have alot of success. I mainly find online poker far too frustrating then live poker. I think there are alot of call machines online as well, who for some odd reason, will call you knowing they have the worst hand.

So then I got to thinking....I need a poker fix, but I can't seem to get it online, and I don't have a game to go to thats close by....what can I do? Then, "bam!". It hits me, a poker club that is designed in a fashion that satelittes the best players to a bigger tournament and splits the winnings. More to come later...
