Up - down and up (100NL)

Allen,

Ben sinds vorige week een beetje begonnen met cash 25NL.
Stats erbij, veel gelezen, handen analyseren, discusieren etc.

Gisteren had ik eindelijk een lichtelijk herstel en had ik 14,5BB/750 handen. Idd een kleine sample.
Toen kwam mijn maat binnen en ben ik gestop met pokeren.

Om 23.30 uur naar bed en nog ff 4 tafels 25nl geopend.
Toen ging ik zo slecht spelen en zo tilten dat ik gewoon gek werd.
Ik zal de handen hier ff posten.
Stats zet ik hier ff niet bij maar zal proberen commentaar te geven.

avg Finish middle position S&G

Een goede middag allen,

Ik speel nu een tijdje poker, het meeste S&G (18 en 45 man), soms wat grotere toernooien ($5 en $10) en af en toe cash games (25NL en 50NL). Waar het op neer komt is dat ik ongeveer break even speel.

Ik heb een vraag over MTT en S&G, ik heb de artiklen van Robert Jan gelezen en blijf toch met een aantal vragen zitten.

Probleem:
ongeveer 50% van alle MTT en S&G die ik speel is mijn average finish middle.

Dit wil ik gaan verbeteren, wie kan mij hier bij helpen.

Toernooi opbouw:
In eerste instantie speel ik altijd TAG, selecteer echt mijn handen en kijk naar positie. Tijdens een toernooi probeer ik zoveel mogelijk notes te maken en hierop baseer ik ook mijn beslissingen. Echter in het begin is dat vaak lastig vandaar dat ik in het begin ABC poker speel.

Dit houdt dus in dat ik of in het eerste uur verdubbel of dat ik er vrij vroeg uitlig, dat risico neem ik.
Meestal zit ik zo halverwege het erste uur net boven de avg. stack en tijdens de eerst break meeastal average.

Ik weet dat ik op dat moment (afh. van het deelnemersveld) agressiever moet gaan spelen, echter dit durf ik meesstal niet en volgens mij schat ik de situaties niet altijd goed in.

Het verhaal van Robert Jan over middenfase toernooi met het voorbeeld J9diamonds, zo zou ik die hand nooit durven te spelen.
Een ander probleem waar ik mee worstel is dat als er geraiset wordt, call of reraise ik bijna nooit maar fold ik een hand bijna altijd (m.u.v. zeer sterke handen).

Het lijkt inderdaad wel dat ik een categorie 2 (geld terugwinnen) speler ben op dat moment terwijl ik categorie 1 (gaan voor toernooiwinst) speler wil zijn, maar dit meestal niet doe.

Is het dan misschien verstandiger om een limiet lager te gaan spelen. Het is niet dat ik het geld niet kan missen, maar ik vind het altijd zonde.

Ongeveer 20% van de toernooien die ik speel eindig ik ITM. Is dit te laag? Als ik agressiever ga spelen om een categorie 1 speler te worden, ben ik bang dat dit nog lager wordt.

vanavond twee toernooien

Ok allen,

Na net cash twee buy ins verloren te hebben op de 25NL, ongelooflijk maar waar, stort ik me vanavond op twee S&G van $10. Een van 18 man en een van 45 man. Beide toernooien zijn net begonnen en later komt er een mooi verslagje van.

De 2 buy ins die ik net verloor was wel zuur. AA tegen QK, hij of zij hitte met een K op de river two pair, hij zat met TPTK en ik met pocket azen.

Frank en zijn vrienden,

Jawel, ik zou jullie nog ff vertellen over het weekendje naar Center Parcs met mijn studie maten.
Was het gezellig, ja het was bere gezellig.

Hoe is een en ander tot stand gekomen. De jongens op de foto (-1) zijn de hoofdrolspelers.

Frank en zijn vrienden

Deze gasten ken ik inmiddels respectievelijk 22 en 18 jaar. Bij twee heb ik 12 in de klas gezeten en bij de andere 8 jaar (gerekend vanaf de middelbare school). In de pauze en vrije lesuren alsmede in de avonduren deden wij altijd kaarten. Toepen en rikken waren de voornaamste kaartespelen.

Toen we in 1997 afgestudeerd waren hebben we besloten om minimaal 1x per jaar een poker nacht cq weekend te beleggen. Inmiddels ruim 10 jaar verder zien we elkaar nog regelmatig om te kaarten.

Afgelopen weekend zaten we met zijn 7en in de Kempervennen bij Valkenswaard. Normaliter toepen we met een tafel van 3 en een tafel van 4 en drinken we heel veel.

Nou aan het drinken is nog niets veranderd. Vrijdag middag van 16.30 uur tot 4.30 uur, en zaterdag van 12.00 uur tot 06.00 uur in de ochtend. Veel bier, whiskey en andere zooi is genuttigd. we leven nu dinsdagavond en ben nog brak.

Echter van het toepen is maar heel weinig terecht gekomen. Die gasten wilden pokeren omdat dat met zijn 7en kan. Zo gezegd zo gedaan, en ik denk dat we in totaal 15 uur live gepokerd hebben.

Zoals al vaker op diversen fora gemedl is, gaatwinstgevend pokeren en drank niet geheel samen. Omdat iedereen dronk en iedereen pokert ging deze stelling niet op.

Afijn we hebben en heerlijk wekend gehad, flink bijgepraat, goed gedronken en heerlijk gekaart.
Het mooie was dat ik nota bene nog een street flush gedeeld kreeg, waar ik toch nog mooi 40 euries mee pakte.

Op naar het volgende festijn.
16 17 en 18 april gaan we naar Cork, Ierland, daar woont ook een lid van het team.

Quote van de week - deel 1 - week 47

Een goede middag allen. Naast het feit dat ik regelmatig handjes en verhalen over mijn pokergekte zal posten, start ik deze week ook met iets anders. Namelijk Quote van de week, elke week zal ik een quote posten die soms wel ergens en soms nergens op is gebaseerd. Het is maar om even aan iets anders te denken. Ik hoor, lees en zie graag jullie reacties (met dank aan neef chiel).

Begin van mijn upswing??

He allen,

Jaja ik weet het ik zou vandaag eigenlijk helemaal niet spelen, maar de kids lagen al om 19.00 uur op bed nadat ik een enorm spannend verhaal van st nicolaas heb gelezen. Om 20.00 uur heb ik een vergadering van de carnaval, dus ik dacht ff een S&G met 9 man op Full Tilt voor 5 dollar.

Zo gezegd zo gedaan:
na een paar handjes krijg ik QQ, twee callers op mijn 3 bet en jawel flop AQJ.
Ik all in i caller met AK...........shippppp it.

we spelen verder en ik krijg werkelijk monsters van kaarten 2x KK 2x AK waarop iedereen naar mij fold, dat krijg je als CL. Verder zat er een iiritante gozer aan tafel die iedere keer de zooi anstampte als ik niet mee deed.
Ik dacht dat wordt de mijne. En jawel hoor in twee handen verlies ik bijna mijn hele stack aan die knakker A9s tegen KQos met een K op de turn, ok. Even later AJs tegen A5 met een 5 op de flop. Ik zakte door de grond, iedereen aan tafel baalde wel een beetje maar ik het meest. Ik vecht goed terug, had wat geluk met de floppies en wist het zeker, dit wordt mijn S&G.

OP een gegeven moment kom ik heads up tegen mijn grote vriend, echter hij had 11K en ik 2,5K. Ik won wat chippies terug en had er inmiddels 4K
En wat er toen gebeurde in twee handen:

AKs again A2 ....... dat was 1 en ik kwam op 8k

Toen kwam de hand van de laatste maanden:
Ik kreeg 35 diamonds gedeeld en raise naar 480 (blinds 80/160, het was een snel S&G), mijn heer call. De Flop komt:
A24 jawel DIAMONDS..........................STRAIGHT FLUSH kicken $22,50 shippen.........
ik check uiteraard tot de river toe, gaat mijnheer op de river jawel ALL IN met A4 two pair.
Ik chat nog even good beye en ben nu even een gelukkig man.

Maakt alle ellende van van de week al weer deels goed.
Ok ik kreeg de kaarten, maar daarnaast heb ik ook goed gespeeld (vond ik zelf).
