The Australian Poker League
May 26, 2008The APL - Ok i am employed by them and yes across Australia we are the premier provider of poker tournaments, light years ahead of any other Poker Entertainment Company currently doing the same thing - NPL for 1.
The games we run are fair, friendly and offer a fun night out to hone your poker skills.
My problem with the APL is as an employee they should just let us do our jobs the way we always do (in fairness and of friendly manner) instead of sticking us in front of a PC for god knows how many hours doing online training that is full of non consequential rubbish, info that we dont need and in all likely hood will never use, yes training up to a point is a good thing...i dont dispute that...BUT COME ON GUYS...Q. what was Frank and Martin's vision???? A. Who really gives a shit. I have been emploted by APL for 2 years and in all that time no one...NO ONE has asked me what Frank and Martin's vision was...guys (APL DIRECTORS) what you offer to the public is great dont get me wrong ...as for the crap you put your employees through......well try doin it yourself...Run a tournament through set up, seating, table breakdown, player ranking, pack up, venue reports, syncronisation, then drive home, then come back and tell me how would you like sitting in front of a PC leaning all the crap you expect us to learn.PLEASE ...go on try it, step out of the cushy little box and try doing what the guys do that are making the money and building the business for you.
