Lets talk Aruba
Outubro 01, 2009So its 202AM right now, and I am pretty much just staying up until I leave for my trip to Aruba.
I am here at the Jersey Shore with my sis and bro, and were hitting the road at 430am from Cape May NJ to Newark. From there I have an 830am flight to Aruba!. My bro is flying back to Montreal, where he just finished school.. and hes got some cash now. 2 nights ago he decided my sunday wasnt cool, and he had to pull even. He promptly took down the stars 50 buyin 70k, then the next night toon down the 30 buyin with like 900 players for 4500, for a grand total of about 15k, nice week for him. Look out for him in the future..
I am so looking forward to Aruba, I just came back from the beach (thats my thing, to think on the beach late at night) and its freezing out there, ill be glad to be somewhere tropical.
What else...
Thats pretty much it for now, will try to keep my Aruba updates to the minute.

Moved into a new house
Agosto 06, 2009I just moved into a new place in Vegas. Quite an upgrade from our old place. I live with my business partner from L.A. and another friend from L.A. and we used to have a 4 bedroom house with a pool and no spa, and it was alright but we decided to upgrade. Now we have a 5 bedroom hose, pool and spa, and I have my own office which is sweet since I just upgraded my poker setup.
I played poker with SirSands two sundays ago at my vegas place and saw he had 2 huge monitors, so I went to frys and purchased 2 27 inch LG monitors and a new HP computer. It will be great now that I can play sundays, and my regular PLO cash games at Absolute Poker.
Anyways, back to the house, its in a sweet guard gated community and really feels like an actual home, where as the last place felt like a bachelor pad. I am still looking at houses for myself, but for now im content to rent with my friends until the market in Vegas deterierates further.
I am in L.A. right now, just met with a producer for my TV show idea. I am headed back to vegas in about an hour, on no sleep again.
Thats all for now.

My plans for the next few months, and Greg Mueller
Julho 19, 2009Hey all,
I just finished playing in a cash game in LA with a few hollywood guys, Greg Mueller, and some other chaps. I lost in the game but had a good time.
I am relieved the WSOP is over, I broke about even but was pretty unhappy overall. I pinpointed why I did not make a final table for the third consecutive year. I was too impatient. I allowed myself to gamble too much, and it cost me alot of money. Next year I look forward to not playing like a maniac and winning my first bracelet.
As for my next few months I am very excited. At the end of July/early August ill be flying to Costa Rica. While in Costa Rica I will be doing a few things: Having meetings with Absolute Poker about my future there, and a project I am very excited about which will come into the public in the next few months.
More importantly, I will be relaxing in Hermosa Beach and doing a bit of surfing, I might even put up a video blog of my epic fails at surfing, but its fun as hell.
After the meetings, ill be going to Atlantis, Bahamas, to attend the sports legends challenge. Absolute Poker is sponsoring it and it will be fun to go mingle with the pro athletes and the people who will be attending it. (90% sure im going)
After the Bahamas, ill be heading to Aruba in early October for the Aruba Poker Classic put on by Ultimate Bet. Its honestly my favorite spot on the circuit, and it was before I was signed with them also.
Its going to be so tough to be going to all these tropical paradises, but somebodys gotta do it.

Hangin in the UB/AP suite at the RIO.
Julho 10, 2009Well I busted out of the main event on day 2. I played pretty bad and impatiently and I guess I deserve to have busted.
When I busted I was not as unhappy as I expected to be, mainly because I have a lot of things that have happened and are going to happen very soon.
I cant talk about some of the stuff upcoming, but once it comes to fruition I will post it in this blog.
I also just finally signed with Absolute poker officially, we were working out a deal for awhile, and I finally signed at the end of June.
I did a photo shoot with Lacey Jones, also just recently signed with AP. It was pretty wierd, they put makeup on but the photos are pretty kickass and are going to be used as print ads, banners, etc.
Thats all for now.

10k PLO
Junho 23, 2009Yesterday my run came to an end in the 10k PLO world championship in 19th place out of 300 runners. I was very happy to get this far since the field was insanely stacked and there were hardly any soft tables, but also sad that I ducked out 19th.
I played a pot where I limped utg with KT9J, K9hh where I limped utg for 16k with an effective stack of 420k, matt graham made it 40k on top from the bb after it folded to him from the bb.
I called and the flop came 6c 8h 3d. Matt G bet 55k and I decided to repot, comitting myself. Matt thought forever (I knew he had aces, thought he would be forced to fold) and finally made a really tough call with AA22. I hit the Th on the turn, which gave me a real fighting chance to win the pot, but the river bricked out and I busted.
I want to say congrats to Matt Graham, he played a heck of a tourney.
I will be playing alot of events before the end of the series, and I expect to make at least one final table and then go for the bracelet. Starting with the 2500 Omaha 8/b today.
I also wanted to mention after much talk about the contract, Absolute Poker and I have now come to an agreement and I am thrilled to be working with them and representing them to the best of my ability.

WSOP update, life update
Junho 11, 2009So far the WSOP has been very uneventful for me. I made day 2 in the 2500 PLO/PLH (my favorite tournament format) but was unable to cash. I have played a total of 6 events so far, and ive put up a big goose egg.
I decided to leave Vegas, as I did last year before I final tabled the 3k NL, and come to Malibu again. I find it very relaxing here just sitting on the beach at night and thinking about life.
I am heading out to the beach in a little bit, I will either be coming back into Vegas tomorrow or saturday, and probably playing the 2500 PLO as my first event back.
I plan to represent the site that just signed me well, and myself well for the remainder of the WSOP and I WILL be making a final table for the third straight year and hopefully claim my first bracelet.

Scoop and WPT championship
Abril 18, 2009Hey guys, I have been having some meetings with people in LA, I got some big things in the works. Anyways, wanted to update you guys and gals on my poker escapades lately also.
The guys at Chipmeup offered to pay my buyins for some scoop events and they got half the action with no makeup so I decided to take it. I played the first 3k event and ended up finishing 22nd/907.. VERY dissapointing. I felt I played super well (including calling off half my stack with bottom pair on a 5 card coordinated board) but then I lost 2 flips in a row and just like that I was out.
Yesterday I decided to take a shot at the 2500 super satalite, and low and behold I won my seat for the 25k bellagio WPT championship which ill be playing tomorrow (sunday)
Anyways, im about to shower and head to the strip, my sisters in town so im showing her around a bit.

In Atlanta, En route to... Plus UB!
Março 17, 2009Hey all, figured while I'm stuck in the airport id write a little blog about the past few weeks.
Since I got back from Costa Rica I basically have just been in Vegas and LA hanging out, going to the gym, and learning to be a better cook. I am making some bomb chicken dishes now, ladies watch out.
I am doing my usual play on all Sundays and hardly ever else. I feel like it works for me, its definitely not for everyone- but I have found that when I play my A+ game once a week rather then getting burnt out and playing my B+ game all the other nights pays off. I had my first losing Sunday a couple Sundays ago for the first time in awhile, but followed that up by a 5th place in the UB 200k for 11k 2 days ago.
Speaking of UB, I just recently signed with them a few weeks ago. After a 2 week visit to Costa Rica I decided to switch from being a pro on FullTilt poker to Ultimate Bet and the Cereus network. This was a really tough decision. I really enjoyed my time at FTP, and wish the company and the people I worked with nothing but the best.
I decided to switch because I truly believe Ultimate Bet is righting the ship. I met with security, and did a tour of the customer service department. I also met most of the people who are in charge, and I feel like this is a good move for me. I have always wanted to be a part of something where I can grow as a person and as a player. I am very thrilled UB has given me this opportunity.
Anyways, back to my current situation. I have been doing a ton of traveling and after a pit stop in Vegas I'm at it again. I am sitting in the Atlanta airport awaiting my flight to Panama City, FL. I will be attending this event called Beach Blast, its basically a 24/7 party with some sponsors which include Coke and Absolute Poker. Absolute Poker is catering to the college kids and since I am of college age and sort of still in school they thought I should go down there and spread my love.
The last spring break I was on was three years ago, so I am definitely looking forward to some drinking/surfing/and general mischief. I will also be promoting Absolute as part of my deal with Cereus, so its great to be able to travel and do all this.
After I go to Panama City, ill be heading back to New York to visit my bro, sis, and parents.
After that, ill be driving north to Plattsburgh University, my old college, and visiting some college buddies for almost a week. After all that ill be back in Vegas for Bellagio and basically just chillen until the WSOP rolls around.I will explain my goals for the WSOP at a later time, that's all I can really think of right now, hope you guys enjoyed reading about my escapades and future plans.

A day to remember
Fevereiro 09, 2009I woke up Sunday around noon, planning on calling a girl who I met the night before at a restaurant, she was my server. I gave Raquel a call and had her bring a friend so my friend Joe would not be the third wheel. We all got together around 1 and decided to head to the beach. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention- I was in Jaco Beach, Costa Rica.
The day was fun, drank a few beers, surfed, made chitchat as best we could (they spoke decent English) and had lunch afterward. The beaches were beautiful and so were the women, not much more I can ask for. We parted ways after lunch, planning on getting together for drinks during the evening. I returned home just as the Full Tilt 300 FTOPS was starting and decided meh, sure why not ill play a small schedule then head out at night.
The day got off to a slow start, I believe I played 10 tourneys in all and I was down to 3 of them around 9pm. I was happy either way, if I won I would receive money and if I lost we would get to hang out in Jaco. Jaco is a crazy town at night, there are a ton of bars and everyone is super laid back which I love. But there would be no night in Jaco, there would only be poker. The only problem is every other person is trying to sell coke or some sort of drugs, glad I never went down that road.
I was down to three tournaments like I said, the Mulligan, Horse, and the 100r turbo on Full Tilt. I had a stack in the Mulligan, but was pretty short in the rest. I then went on a rush. I managed to go from 1/14 to a 12th place finish in the 100r turbo, but its kind of a crapshoot anyways. In the horse I managed a 7th place finish, Chad brown “Pro” took most of my chips through his stellar play.
So I was down to the Mulligan, which I eventually took down for 61.6, it was a great feeling as this year in majors I’ve had 1/5 wins when I’ve been HU in the million, sec chance (2) ftp 750k, and 200r.
It is a great feeling to finish out a tourney with that many people and of course the moneys nice too. But the nicest part about that Sunday was that I was able to play overlooking and listening to the ocean. I was playing from my balcony and it was a super calm way to go about it. I was able to have fun at the beach, not worry about poker, and then come back and somehow pull off a win, it was just awesome.
That’s all for now, I’m about to start the FTOPS 1k and need to focus, hope you all enjoyed my blog- see you next time.
