  • Road to victory

    Heb gister voor de vijfde maal een $1.1 45 Turbo gewonnen. Een mooie reden om eens dieper op deze road to victory in te gaan.

    Het 2e handje krijg ik direct een pocket pair (6'ies). Ik raise licht na enkele limpers en krijg 3 callers. Flop Q72 met 2 schoppen en fold op een bet van 300.

    In handje 4 krijg ik weer pockets, boeren dit keer. Na 2 limpers raise ik naar 180 en iedereen fold.

    In het begin van level III krijg ik voor de 2e keer boeren. Villain donkbet AI met FD, maar een overpair leg ik hier echt niet meer weg:

    Zaak in deze toernooien is dat je ook 'durft' te folden. Onderstaande push is ws op zn minst een PP, en anders wel een A met redelijke kicker. In level III vind ik KQs te weinig om te callen.

    In level V krijg ik pocket ladies op de BB. Na een call en een minraise push ik vrij standaard. Rest fold en collecteer 825.

    Na een poos weinig actie van mijn kant (1 steal met A8o in MP) krijg ik A5s UTG. Ik bet 2BB (standaard openraise voor mij, tenzij ik push natuurlijk). Na 2 callers pusht een redelijke shorty. Ik besluit te callen, omdat ik hem op een laag paartje zet, hoogstens 2 face cards. Het is erg risky omdat er nog 2 villains na mij zitten, maar mn gevoel (volg het!) zei dat het ok was. 1 villain callt achter me. Ik flop top pair met nut FD. Easy push. De call van villain is standaard met top pair behoorlijke kicker. Ik river mn flush een keertje, hoera en kassa.

    In het handje erna ga ik een OESD chasen wat me 1k kost. Thx Doyle! (Hij zegt in Super System dat hij na een gewonnen pot de volgende hand altijd meespeelt, niet meer doen dus...). Villain zelf zat ook met een OESD, waardoor ik met een 3rd barrel de pot nog had kunnen oppakken ws.

    3 handjes hierna krijg ik pocket deuces. Na 3 limpers push ik als bigstack. Natuurlijk wil ik hier geen callers, maar ik krijg er toch 1, wat me de helft van mn stack kost. NB: Hier zie je dus de reden waarom ik in een ander toernooi openlimpte met AQ. Een prima kaart om een push van een villain mee te callen.

    In level VIII (200/400) krijg ik KQs en openraise 4BB en krijg 1 caller. Ik flop een OESD. Villain donkbet 1BB wat 99 vd 100 keer een blockbet is om goedkoop de turn te zien. Ik push er overheen en villain fold. Back to almost 7k.

    Steal vervolgens een x door A8s UTG te openraisen met BB. Hand erna krijg ik kado doordat iedereen fold. Hand meteen daarna krijg ik als SB AKo. Shorty pusht UTG voor 700 bij 300/600. 1 caller en ik push. Shorty rivert een straat. Maar goed, dit kostte mij maar 400 effectief. Volgende hand push ik op de button 89s en pak het weer terug.

    Poosje geen actie van mij, behalve een mislukte steal met Q9s, wat me 2,4k kost. Maar hand erna pak ik alweer wat terug als ik geen actie krijg op pocket boeren (derde x).

    In level XI krijg ik de rockets en die worden ook volledig afbetaald doordat villain met hogere stack TPTK hit op de flop. Dik CL nu met 25k en 6 left.

    Vlak erna vliegt nummer 3 eruit met top pair vs flush en we zitten HU (32k vs 35k).

    Handje 3 van de HU is meteen de laatste. Met A8o raise ik na limp naar 8k (4BB) en krijg call. Ik flop middle pair en gooi het erin. Waarom villain callt met een gutshot is me een raadsel, maar who cares. I win.

    Final thoughts. Ik kreeg behoorlijk wat PP's, vooral die azen in het latere stadium waren zeer prettig. Voor de rest een paar goed getime steals gemaakt, waarvan er 1 goed mislukte (pocket deuces). 2 suckouts gemaakt. Zaak is gewoon om in het begin retetight te spelen en later niet onnodig chips weggooien. Zit je lekker in fiches? Laat de rest mekaar maar afmaken.
