• Live games

  Hi all,

  This week I only played live poker in the casino. I played for 5 consecutive days and turned a profit in 4 of them. As I posted last time I got backed for the 5/5 game in Rotterdam during the easter series of poker.

  Wednesday:

  After I got my hair cut in the morning a friend of mine came by to pick me up. We arrived in the Rotterdam Casino at 1:30PM. The 500+50E Tournament began at 3:00PM so we had some time to explore the casino. The tournament had a pretty tough lineup with guys like Peter (de dal) Dalhuijsen and Steven van Zadelhoff. My table existed, of 6 or 7 experienced live players who played fairly well, and one real donk. The first level, of 1 hour, I folded just about every hand but did lose some chips when I was in the BB and hit a flop.

  After making a squeeze in the second level I had lost about 1/4th of my stack. I had 8K left with 40/80blinds when I got dealt KK on the Hijack. I raised to 240 and after the BTN called the BB raised to 650, I decided I wanted to play the pot HU and raised to 1500. To my total disgust the BB responded by raising to 5.000 and after some thought about my image and his style I decided to muck. YES I folded KK preflop, and it was a good one, not only did his neighbor(best player at table) ensure me he had AA, he also told me himzelf, afterwards in the bar when I was allready out of the tournament.

  Later in this level I managed to get it allin preflop with AK versus the donks(tilting in the meantime) AT, he sucked out and I was down to 2800points. Now I was looking for a double up and I got it in on a K89cc flop with T6cc against KTo, no help and I was out of the tournament.

  Time for cashgames,

  I bought in for 500 and decided I would stop for the day at a loss of 1200E. The table was super soft with Lex(Raszi) Veldhuis just spewing money away, and some others who didn't play so well. I had been playing tight for just about an hour when the next hand came up:

  Raszi UTG (1200E)
  UTG+1 (1200E) (Seemed to know Raszi and was talking with him all the time, was also gambling like him)

  Raszi bets 80
  UTG+1 folds,
  Ruben calls,

  River (9d)
  Raszi checks
  Ruben checks,

  Raszi Says: A nine and wants to muck, I was sporty enough to show him my hand and he turns over 93dd and takes down the pot.

  After some small pots I ended the day winning 550E.
