Day 2 - Event #15 Ladies Event Top 5 Chip Leaders
Monday, June 09, 2008 14:18Coming into day two we are starting with 62 players that survived yesterday. We hit the money at 99 and the short stacks starting pushing in. Among the survivors of the day were three pro's, Linda Johnson, Evelyn Ng and Kathy Liebert.
Our chip leader is Shavonne Mitchell on table 11, seat 9, with 94,000 in chips. Our chip leader has not yet arrived, so I will update her profile on the next opportunity.
Second in chips is Alice Talbot on table 12, seat 7, with 92,700 in chips. Alice is from Los Angeles and has five cashes with her best being a 2007 Legends of Poker event where she took 5th.
Third in chips is Rosyln Quarto on table 14, seat 7 with 86,100 in chips. Ros is a attorney from New York and has six cashes with her best being a 2006 WSOP Circuit event in Atlantic City where she took 2nd.
Fourth in chips is Olga Varkonyi on table 11, seat 5, wit 83,800 in chips. Olga is married to poker champion Robert Varconyi and has four cashes. Her best and memorable one is her 238th place finish in the 2005 WSOP Main Event for $28,375.
Fifth place chips belong to Christine Priday on table 13, seat 5, with 82,900. Christine is from Denver Colorado and has played poker all her life. This is her third try at the WSOP. She plays a few tournaments in Colorado but mainly concentrates on her cash game.
