Wonder Woman aka Tiffany Michelle

Walking into the Amazon Room, you see all the excitement coming together as all the male players look for their seats and begin to talk to everyone who has made it to day six. Among these fellow poker players is a sleek young girl with a bright and beautiful smile. She makes her way to her table and seat to inspect her bagged chips from last night. Tiffany has been for the most part quiet and extremely focused on what is at hand, and that is the gold bracelet at the end of this very long and tiring World Series.

Beginning her day seven with a great stack of just over 3.8 million, it appears she is in close company at the top of the leader board with at least eight other players. She has a real shot at this dream chance to turn it all into reality.

Tiffany took a hit to her stack of about 1.6 million early on. She raised pre-flop and was re-raised, not willing to fold, she called as she generally does and went to the flop with her opponent. On the board of Ah/4c/3h/4d/7c Tiffany had to give up the hand when her opponent pushed out a hefty bet of 2.2 million. Until this hand, I hadn’t seen her stack slip this much in several days. However, the blinds and antes are climbing and poker is getting much more expensive to play.

Tiffany must have felt that hit, as it was not long after she limped into a pot with two other players and saw a 7/9/7 flop, a player checked, and another bet 75,000, which drew a call from Tiffany with the third player folding. The turn was an innocent looking 4, her opponent bet 100,000, Tiffany raised to 200,000, he re-raised to 400,000 causing Tiffany to push in her whole stack. Her opponent gave up the raising war and folded. Tiffany recouped some of her lost chips from the previous hand and was back up to 3.8 million.

Taking a pot from poker pro Kido Pham is not an easy task. Pham, largely known as a loose aggressive player who can also turn water into wine mixed it up with Tiffany in a hand that cost him enough chips to cause concern. Pham mentioned to Tiffany in passing after the flop that he was sure she did not have a big hand as he mucked his feeble attempt to steal from her. Lesson learned.

There is no more church poker in the Amazon room. Serious faces and no chatter, only the soft sounds of riffling chips, Tiffany took another hit to her stack when her opponent caught a small flush on the river. It was too late for Tiffany as she lost about 1.5 million to slip down under the 4 million mark.

There must be some magic in her fingertips because from here on out she was truly in the mist of a performance. Pulling out a trick or two, Tiffany buffaloed through a couple of hands without a showdown in either one, picking up over 1.2 million more chips. However, this would not be the last stop in the “One Woman Show” as Tiffany pounded on Cristian Dragomir’s hand once again showing a set of three’s causing Cristian to muck without showing. Tiffany became queen of the 7 million-chip mountain and never looked back. Apparently, Cristian wanted another shot at his chips resting comfortably in front of Tiffany, as the two soon went at it again. This time it would be a draw, maybe a chop, until Cristian asked her what her kicker was. It was bad news, Tiffany had brought a queen with her pair of eights that sent Cristian’s 10 kicker into the muck, and once again, his chips cross the table to join the rest in front of Tiffany.

As the evening play ended, Cristian Dragomir would find his final resting place in 29th for $193,000 in prize money. Mike Matasow, the only pro player left would be eliminated in 30th place, also for $193,000.

Tiffany now sits among the elite 27 players left, atop a mountain of chips totaling 9,755,000. Women poker players all over the world are watching Tiffany make World Series of Poker history today! Stay with PokerNews today and watch it all happen here in our live reports!!

Gotta love a stong, skilled woman making it this far and hopefully all the way! I love her ability to read as she put her opponent on less than her K8 and pushed $500K at him....plus she may have thought he had even less as he could've been on tilt after she had just squeezed some chips from him a few hands earlier.....Go Tiffany!
