Also depends on what you have planned to do with your spare time.Ok, now back to PoolStars stuff. Lots of changes were introduced per all the period on non-reporting. I’m more than happy to announce PoolStars has extended the list of online games available. The 6-ball, 7-ball and 10-ball games have been introduced (added to the currently available 8-ball, 9-ball and snooker) recently and already are among the most lovable list. Also there is still a promo going – If you play poker, PoolStars promises you $25. More rules and conditions are here. Read them carefully, otherwise you can lose the chance to get the bonus, some critical rules are very important. And don’t hold on for too long, the promo goes till May 25th only.
If you are still not a PoolStars community member, don’t wait any longer, sign-up and enjoy the most realistic, life like Online pool game.
You have already all noticed there are no freerolls available, except the weekly $250 for most active players. That doesn’t mean PoolStars is not eager to share free money to players, we are just doing some tests and some new promos that we do believe should work more fluent and has a better feedback regarding the whole game action. Foremost Online Pool League on PoolStars

Been silent for a while, but here there comes the update of the whole Online pool action on PoolStars. Few promotions were introduced not that long ago, now I’m glad to spread the news about the first-ever Online pool League on PoolStars. Sound strange at the first glance? Don’t get lost, all this for real. Yes, PoolStars has announced the DisherDawber’s (the backgrounder and organizer in corporation with PoolStars development team) 9ball league and asked to leave a voice on the participant list by simply clicking the JOIN button.
The list of interested amateurs and professionals is growing each day. More then 100 people already join the League championship and are eager to start enrolling to the real tournament. The registration is announced to be open in a while, March 17, 2009 19 GMT. PoolStars is expecting at least 60-80 people for a League championship day. Are they optimists? Let’s see how they get that going! The main event is on March 21, 2009, 19 GMT time.
If anyone got interested (of those that never tried PoolStars before), please sign up and enroll to the journey that will stay up in you mind forever. Added prize is expected apart from the general buy-ins total.

New Refer-a-friend Program on PoolStars

Here you can find your referral link, banners embedded with your personalized referral link as well as import of emails from different social networks and email clients. PoolStars and 2009
February 04, 2009The first month of the year 2009 has ended and last year will truly be remember for big stakes battles of Deathmatch and Showdowns. Macon_Marc triumphs and the new challenges are ahead. Would you want to try? Contact me and I will help organize the battle.
This year promises to be a big one with Mac version in development as well as a complete re-design of the PoolStars website, including new freerolls and weekly contests.
Online Pool site PoolStars are always looking to improve the look and feel for out community, and this month users have been presented the opportunity to upload up to 12 images to their profiles. In this way we hope to further bridge the gap between our users. Enjoy! Also, to ensure users' security, the report system has been implemented in the game. Now you can easily press the right mouse button, select function to report and write the report for us. The support staff is always observing the reports so feel safe.
More interesting stuff is coming, stay tuned.

Macon_Marc triumphs
January 11, 2009The biggest ever staked online pool game on PoolStars ended dramatically: 5:2. Macon_Marc - a professional online poker player managed to see off a late rally from poker icon Tony G. Both players had been playing hundreds of hours prior to the big match up, honing their skills in preparation for the big game. In addition to the record stakes, there was a record number of players online at PoolStars watching the action as it went down. The chat box was a sea of comments with observing players flooding their feedback and commentary at a rate that made it virtually impossible to even read. Despite all this, the players were calm and focused.
At the beginning of the match, it appeared that Macon_Marc might run away with a clean sweep after he shot away to a 3:0 lead. With $5,000 on the line, Tony G rallied and managed to take the next two games, making it a much more respectable 3:2. With this dramatic turn of events, the chat box went into overdrive, with even more comments coming in.
Here are just a few of the comments from the big game.

With Tony G putting all the pressure on Macon_Marc, the final two games came about in astounding fashion. With surgical precision, Macon_Marc managed to win the next 2 games taking the match and the moola. Here is what Macon_Marc had to say after his record breaking win.
"Well that was definitely fun! Nothing like sitting on the couch playing pool online for $5,000. Glad I found this site, its something to keep me entertained away from poker. Got off to a good start in this match up 2-0. Tony came back and had a chance to tie it up 3-3 if he made a combination on the nine ball, boy I was kinda nervous on that one. He missed and I ended up winning that game. The last rack he broke and scratched and left me a straight in combo on the 9. I had to take it, just wanted to end the match right there. Lined it up and put her to rest. Thanks to Poolstars staff for making this happen and thanks to Tony G for a good game."
Tony G was also suprised by the game, saying: "I was outclassed. He was just too good he worked hard all week to get better and won well, look out for the next big match. It could be you taking me on".
With both players showing ample respect to each other, it was no surprise that the rail birds would chime in with some entertaining comments for Tony, "12:53 [Albinario] on yer bike!"

1 year for PoolStars – it’s just the beginning
January 06, 2009Well the first year has passed quickly for PoolStars and the future looks bright. Within the one year that the Online pool game PoolStars has been around, there has been many improvements to the game. Looking back at the first months, it is difficult to believe what we see now - the enlarged audience, plenty of games, close community, shared interests and the desires to achieve the best online pool player in the world.
This year saw players take the opportunity to exchange in game winnings for e-store goods that used high quality and popular brand items. Also during this past year, PoolStars launched real money gaming making it one of the few online skill games where players can actually cash in on their skills. Also, we launched the provision for creating the individual game parameters , as well as games with or without aiming lines.
Much has happened over the last year, and 2009 will certainly be a break out year for this exciting community. There will be many exciting promotions and contests announced in the coming weeks, but before that one of the most exciting things in online pool history is about to take place. A death match between Tony G and Macon_Marc will be played on Jan 11 featuring the biggest buy-in in online pool history of $5,000 per player, creating a $10,000 prize pool.
