Harrington on Cash
September 01, 2008as i have never been a fan of tournament poker i never dipped into Dan Harrington on Hold'em series.ive heard great things about it and will eventually get there i am sure. however, i noticed when recently looking through the VIP Store on Pokerstars that he has written two books on cash game play. i ordered them asap and just received them last monday. i am currently half way through the first book and while the actual reading can be labor intensive it has already helped my game immensely. ive seen a more consistent profit from session to session and find myself "losing little and winning big."
i have also delved into HORSE on a nightly basis and i really think this game might be great for me. one of my major issues when playing online is boredom and the constant switch of game and strategy involved in horse keeps me from falling into that. i know. i know. somebody out there is going to say "why dont you just multi-table?" because i tend to be very LAG and need to have a decent knowledge of my opponent in order to make sound decisions. i've also heard "aren't the HORSE fields more difficult, even at lower stakes, because of the knowledge it would take someone to be able to play the game?" Yes and No. but my real thought is i think i can play any game better than anyone else given the same preparation and experience. so why would i not dive into something that may avoid my biggest weakness just because of the format?
anyways, my roll on stars is slowly building again. goodnight and goodluck.
