I will be playing FTOPS this week but will most likely sit out the weekend tourneys as I have a weekend trip to Richmond, VA planned for some Magic tournaments with friends. Just finished listening to the WSOP audio coverage and wanna congratulate Joe Cada for winning and also Darvin Moon (MD represent) for making that far. Should be fun to watch ESPN coverage tommorow as it seemed like there were a lot of interesting hands. I may write up a more in depth Foxwoods 10k report in the next couple days depending how I feel.

We start with 15k chips and got almost 100 runners miraculously. I have almost 20k in chips when my bustout hand happens. Yevgeniy Timoshenko opens to 500 from late position at 100/200 and an aggressive kid on the button who has 3 bet him like 5 times already makes it 1400. I'm looking to 4 bet wide from the sb but the guy to my left is commenting loudly about how many times hes 3-bet.. but I look down and see two kings. I make it 4100, he goes allin , covering me.. he has AKhh, board runs out with 3 hearts and an ace.. overkill, gg. Hope I fare better in the 10k.

Played the 2500 at Foxwoods yesterday, think it got 120 or so people. Played three mentionable hands and was out in time to late register for the warmup on Stars (like 1:30 or so).
In the first hand I had AThh and raised early/middle position to 300 @ 50/100. Saw a 5 way flop (1500) of Ax6xJh and I bet 800 after sb and bb check. Guy to my left whos been super active calls and tight button calls after some thought, both the blinds fold (3900). Turn is the 7h, I check, check, button bets 1500, call, I call (8400). River is the 3h making my bd flush and I feel like I'm up against one pair hands and its really really hard for me to have some kind of bluff here so I only bet 3200 expecting to get a call. First guy folds.. and button tanks for awhile, asking if I have AThh and I figure hes prob folding his AQ or whatever, then he tanks a little longer and folds 66 (set) face up. Ouch.
I get up to around 19k before this next hand. Facing a 3k bet from the same guy on the Td7s5d 5s turn into a 3k pot I put him in for his last 2600 or so w/ JJ and he has AT but binks an ace on the river.
The third hand took place early in the third level. I have QQ in EP facing a raise from fairly active kid to my right who I had flatted a bit earlier. He raised to 550 @ 100/200 with a 12k+ stack and I have less than 10k. I really want to get this hand in but I figure best way is to flat and hope one of the shorter stacks makes a move or someone gets frisky as its super hard to get action reraising there (vs a worse hand). Goofy guy to our immediate left (and somewhere around 10k chips) insta makes it 2500 (jackpot), folds back to young kid to my right who makes it something super cheesy (5700 I think, coulda been 6700) and I should be able to fold my hand fairly easily but with the combination of trying to stick to my original plan of praying for action/reraisers goofyness/uncertainty of 4 betters ability to get cute/idea of lying in bed and playing big Sunday online tourneys and ordering room service (ok mostly this last one) I decided to get it in and original raiser had AA.
That kind of sucked getting off to a good start and busting so fast but oh well. The word on the street is the 5k tomorrow shouldn't get very many people but I'm playing it anyways. 10k two days after that.

Last time I was up there I came in 21st in a 10k and have had some other good experiences there in the past. Kind of lost my passion for online tourneys as of late but have been doing well in cash games. So yea.. boring I know... Hopefully some fun updates from Foxwoods.

Back in MD relaxing until Foxwoods at the end of the month. Aruba was really fun and a great experience overall but coming 6th after going into the final day in a good position to win, I was super disappointed. I played AKhh vs Eric Badlwin's QQ for ~2.5m chips which would have given me the chiplead and crippled him. AKhh was the exact hand he had twice vs me on the previous day when I had AA and doubled through him twice, so that was pretty amusing at least. I thought everyone at the FT played well and grats to Baldwin for taking the lead in POTY, Rob Mizrachi for 2nd, and Brandon Hall for taking it down. Aruba gave me the desire to go out and play more live stuff in the coming months, so hopefully you'll hear some more from me.

I was at a tough table to start with a bunch of p5ers but it broke quickly after I busted a shortstack w QQ vs AT and stole the blinds once. I stayed at the next table all day until we played down to 36. Got up to 200k but lost half my stack to a straight up terrible/idiot/brainfart play, spazzing allin w TT on a low flop when I was sure the guy had a big pair. Luckily got a good setup for 70/80k to bust Johan Stoakers w JJ v 88 soon after that. Got up to a peak of about 220/230k but ended with 191k. Average is 197k or so, and were playing 6 handed for the rest of the tourney starting tomorrow at noon, coverage on pokernews.com!

Just shipped the NHG on stars for 20k. Final table was pretty weird as first in chips had like 1.5x avg and last had more than half.. so really anyones game. Lost QQ to AJ with 8 or 9 left and was in last then like 3 hands later I had a decent chiplead after fading AJ w 22 then QQ v 66. I then got AA/QQ/JJ and got action on all of them (ya I know, nice to be me) including AA vs the buttons KK. DFish gave me a pretty big sweat w QT vs my ATs AIPF, he flopped a Q and I backdoored a flush and he busted 6th. From there, busted a bunch of ppl and got hu with over 3 to 1 lead I believe. He won won allin AK v A2 and we were gettin close but I won a race for most of the chips AQ v TT gg. Hadn't eaten much all and was hungry and bored/looking to celebrate so went to 7-11 and ordered and ate assorted food like a homeless man who just jacked someone for 20$ instead of someone who just won 20k (prob look homeless too). So ya, nice life me + have enough money to lose @ WCOOPs hurrah.

Steaming out my ears right now so I figured I'd blog about it. Last night I got an email from Pokerstars requesting I send in some photos of ID/Bills etc in response to a large transfer. Annoying but ok no biggie.. go to bed late last night after regging for the 2pm FTOPs which was PLO HU. I wake up at 1:59 and open FTP which needs to udpate. Somehow this is a giant update and takes me like 15 minutes and I blind off like 5 or 600 chips.. but end up winning my first match. I go downstairs to use my roommates camera/laptop for Stars BS, while there I update FTP and watch to see when the first round of HU matches are done. I get all that done.. go upstairs to my cpu and win another match. During the 3rd match my internet on my cpu cuts out briefly and I try to login from my laptop and of course theres a giant update. I book downstairs and try to login my roommates cpu (which I only did because I was down there earlier and updated the software) and get a message that says something like "You cannot login, please contact loginsupport@fulltiltpoker".. I then proceed to get that same msg trying to login on any cpu. I email urgently.. but of course I get blinded out quickly and still havent gotten a response. Looks like as I was typing this my account got unlocked but still no email. I assume this has something to do with one of my friends requested a self ban after drunken sessions where he lost it all or something.. but unsure. There really should be some kind of system in place that doesn't lock out a long standing customer deep IN THE MIDDLE of a headsup tourney.. I mean cmon.. I'll update later to see how they handle it.
In less infuriating news.. I came 2nd in the ub 215 on sunday after coming 6th a week or 2 before that. Also had another final table in the sniper on there one night. Was playing a ton on FTP before this happened.. had one day that started off pretty promising, was deep in a lot of stuff but only managed a 7th in the 163 with no other final tables. My birthdays Saturday and I'm headed to the beach for the weeekend but will be back in time for Sunday Mil/later FTOPs.
