Blogging
January 17, 2008I have to say that I'm a terrible blogger. I generally fire up the PC after dinner and play online until after I should have gone to bed. So I'm too tired to sit and write out what just happened during that session. Then of course, I never go back and blog that info the next day either......I'm ready to play.
Blogging is suppose to be about putting down events so you can examine them later to determine playing factors. Guess I'm not very good at that. So I'll try to do a better job blogging and playing. Maybe one will work out successfully.
First I decided that I would deposit on PokerStars and micro-limit my bankroll up to a respectable amount. Let me say, "I hate miro-limits". I don't know what it is. I tried 0.10-0.25 NL and had absolutely no success. Rather than drop to 0.05-0.10, I decided to go the other way and tried 0.25-0.50. I've had much more success at this level. So now I know I'm playing at a level higher than my BR dictates, but I'll just have to suffer the consequences if that comes into play. Right now, I've been winning. So why stop. I plan to play at this level until I have 20BI or $2000. Then, I'll consider going higher. If I lose, I'll CAP at 5BI before I drop back down and start again.
Second, I've been doing a lot of studying on Card Runners. These guys seem to really be able to tame online poker. This has been a challenge for me. I haven't actually subscribed to CR yet, but the key word may be yet. I'll just have to see how that goes. This old dog can learn some new tricks. Anything to improve.
My goal is to move up 1 level every 4 months. If I can do this over the next 1.5 years, I won't need to win a seat for any tourney. I'll just BR it myself.
