Vegas Last Week
November 09, 2007I went to Vegas last week on a business trip thinking I'd have plenty of time to hit the tables but I forgot how the Japanese do business. I work for a Japanese owned company so I should have known better.
Landed in Vegas around 4pm. Taxied over to the Mirage and checked in. As soon as I got to my room, I got call on my cell inviting me over to the Venetian for a reception. I went over and had a drink. Less than an hour into it, I had to leave to meet for dinner. Once we found the right place, the dinner took 4 hours. Since Vegas is 3 hours behind my home time, I was done for the day.
Day 2- Trade show lasted all day but I backed out of a dinner. I'd had enough of that last night.
I played a $125 tourney at the Mirage at 7. Didn't fare too well. Was card dead then pushed to see my 
out flopped by 
.Hit the cash tables for a couple of hours and ground out my $125 back. Decided to call it a night. Had a tourney coming up in 2 days so I didn't want to wear myself out.
Flew home the next morning. Not a big successful trip but can't say that it was an unsuccessful trip either. Broke even and had a couple of days in Vegas. So all in all it was an average trip.
