It's time for another shameless self promotion. So, let‘s just make a quick acquaintance pre-flop. I am known by most as JP. I was born in the cold and picturesque capital of Canada – Toronto and after some time in Sydney and in the city of London, I set up base here in Malta on the island shaped like a diamond!

Since I was young boy, ultimately I enjoyed any challenge. For some strange reason I had a strong urge to WIN. Back then the prizes did'nt really make a difference, it was more about the pride of winning. From a young age I had a nak for playing, board games, arcade games, video games, card games and popular sports including tennis, table tennis, volleyball, ice hockey, baseball and football. Not much has changed since then. Today, I still enjoy having the upper hand more then anything else in the world!

When I was young I used to watch my family play Gin Rummy. Before going to bed my parents used to let me play a hand or two. Later on in life I dodged school to play draw poker with (friends). I ran myself into debt with the wrong people. Lucky enough my 8 ball pool skills helped me hustle away the hole I had put myself in back then. Travelling is food for the soul they say. So, I left school, and spent the next few years parting and backpacking around the world.

Lately, when something happens in my world, it's usually about Poker. YES! Fools to the left of me, jokers to the right, here I am stuck in the middle with you!

My first tip for you about poker is... confidence. Such a key factor in today's world. If you rock up to a poker table with just confidence you should be half way there. Bear in mind we all have something to learn from each other, from each hand, from each experience we undertake. Stay alert, play smart positive poker and you will win most of the time.
