I have organized a special tournament in PokerStars for pokernews.com forum members. You can get more info in this forum topic. This is password protected small buy-in tournament with quite substantial added prize pool.

If this tournament will be successful we will do more and with bigger added prizepools than $500.

Our Moderator Davega is taking care of that tournament. So ask any questions in that topic.

New Feature: Mobile my.pokernews.com

I would like to introduce a new way of reading MY.pokernews.com via your mobile phone. We have launched the Mobile my.PN version http://my.pokernews.com/m. So far there are only few options available:
- Reading&writing your private messages
- Reading&writing your blogs
- Watching pictures (no adding pictures feature available yet)
- Reading profiles

Of course new features will be brought to your cellphones soon.

I would like your help as well. Please let me know what other information of PokerNews and my.PN can be added to the mobile version. What other features you would like to see here.

New feature: Friends Activity

Today we have launched simple but useful tool for each of you - the friends activity box. This box allow you to see which of your friends are online, What were the last blog posts of them and what are the latest Friend's pictures.

Please add people you know to your friends and you will be always updated what they are doing.

Blog and picture statistics (UPDATED)

New feature - blog and your photos stats is introduced. It is still very simple, but anyway it will help you to see how popular your blog is and where you got the visitors from.

Blog statistics

If you click in My Menu>Statistics you see the blog views for the present month. Views are divided to the Friends, Members and Genaral views. Also you can see how much comments your blog entries have.

If you click on "referrer" tab you can see where the visitors came from. Sort by the period of time, for example 'This week" or "This month".

I can assure we will develop this feature in future.

UPDATE: we have launched the update of the statistics. Now you can see the nicknames of those members who have visited your blog. Just look below your picture stats.

Get rid off Private Messages spammer yourself

Recently the editors complained that some smart members are spamming the Private messages with their affiliate offers and even this type of spam "I need to cash out 1 mill dollars through your account so send me $100" occur. As I cannot know all the spammers - I cannot ban them immediately. Therefore we have (always had) the anti-spam feature - black list.

If over a period of time (I will not provide exact numbers on purpose) the same message sender is blocked by few people, he cannot send private messages at all. When you will receive spam message from some spammer, please do not delete it immediately. Before deleting, just read it and click "Block this users messages" below the sender's nickname.

The spammer will go to your black list. If you will want to unban him, you will need delete the nickname from the black list.

If you see that spammer sent the private messages to particular people of your community, please organize the "block the spammer" activities.

Please use blogroll for your affiliate links and write normal blog to attract the readers. This way of earning is better than spamming to the PMs as i will ban you all. Do not waist mine and your time

New feature - Invite the friend

We just launched the new feature in my.Pokernews - Friend invite form (to reach it you need to go to your FRIENDS list and click "Invitation form" link in the intro text). Now you can invite your friends to join my.pokernews community by filling up the simple form. When the friend creates account following the special link in invitational email, he is automatically added to your friends list. You are added to his list as well.

After your friends are invited you can view if they signed up or not in History of invitations page.

Later we will improve this feature making public lists of members who invited most people monthly. Of course, most active ones will get the prizes.

How to add your Blog to Google Blog Search

I would like to give some advices how to promote your personal blogs over the internet. One of the main ways to make your blog popular in internet - make it appear in Google Blog Search. This Blog search is the biggest search and is used in many sites, therefore you can get lots of traffic.

To get to Google Blog Search you need to add the link to your page or RSS of your blog to the special page

I am trying to find out about the pokernews.com and all the international sites remake. I am thinking of lots of new features which can be helpful for the readers. Maybe you can suggest some features you now miss in Pokernews?

You can write me the PM or comment it here. Also you can write your opinion in special topic in the forum.

I will tell you the secret - we will remake the entire forum. Some of the topics will be with the password and can be accessed invitations only There we will post the passwords for our tournaments for the trusted members.

we have launched a new feature - latest blogs and photos in the home page of Pokernews.com or any other language site. 5 latest blogs and 10 (3 are visible, others are visible clicking Forward and Backward buttons) lates pictures will allow Pokernews sites visitors to see your blog and read it.

Please be active as now your blog can be read by lots of people. Make sure you name it in interesting way (for example, I saw 1 Estonian blog called "Porno". I expected to see porn movie or picture but the blog described the "pornographic" situation in FullTilt - bad beat. The blog got lots of attention ).

All the language sites show the blogs of their language only. Please check your language settings again.

As pictures do not belong to any language you can see the all latests one.
