Ky governor wants domains
September 24, 2008Yesterday, I read a post, where Kentucky state governor, Steve Beshear is asking court to give him permission to seize all internet gambling domains. The reason, Beshear stated is that these online gambling operators do not contribute anything to society, like paying tax regularly, attracting tourism and further added that these gambling operators are leeches in our community.
I don't know why these politicians are against online poker, which is totally skilled game. These politician do not have any other work to do? Actually these politicians are dumb head they are not aware of any such things that online poker can be dangerous or not. The main culprit is the local gambling operators who feed these politicians to take action against these business competitors. Its all business.
Seizing big poker domains such as poker stars, full tilt poker and doyles room is because they are doing very well in United States despite UIGEA rules, which is not yet clear as to what is legal and what is illegal.
Anyways, I hope everything goes well and domains are not seized as it can badly effect our online gaming industry.

Barney Frank's bill passed in the house.
September 18, 2008I can say, its a good news, yes, only good news, that Barney Frank's internet gambling bill H.R. 6870 cleared the house, but it will be great news if the bill clears the senate and signed by president George Bush.
Barney Frank's Payments System Protection Act bill, will now enter senate and we hope it gets green signal from the members of the senate. Bill if passed by the senate will give banking and other financial institution's a ray of hope as they have suffered massive due to current UIGEA payment processing rules.
Current UIGEA rules surcease all payment processing firms such as banks and financial institution's from making any transaction to online gambling industry. All the best Barney
