Boring, but necessary

Hey, so I finally decided to strart posting my poker life here.. THis is an introduction, so you guys kind of get who I am, sorry if its boring, my nexts post wont be, i promess :p... My name is Helio, I am 18 and I live in Maryland, USA.. so I've had a gambling problem for three years and when i moved to the US(8 months ago), even though I was leaving my friends I thought there wouldbe one positive thing which is that I would not be able to gamble anymore becausethe whoel 21 thing.. btu then i foudn online poker.. I started working on my game about 6 months ago.. and I have improved a lot.. I used to play just to gamble now I am really serious about this and feel i have a really good chance of doing soemthing with poker, I still gamble with my friends but I am trying to approach poker i na different way.. I currently go to college and am planning to major in finance with a minor in mathematics and have 3 part time jobs that have so far payed for my losses gambling.. now, since i ve been spending a lto of time almsot every day watching videos, reading forums, books, reviewing my hands and using al lthe tools i haveto see what decisions could have been better to make in different situations and really improving my game; But every friday for teh past 2 months I would get my paycheck, deposit money, win aroudn 100 to 200 palyign very seriously during the weekend and then ( the gambling me comes back to haunt me) i would buy in with my whole BR in some big cash game and lose.. LAst weekend I decided I had to stop..

I deposited 50 dollars last firday and have been playing many and many hours using Bankroll management, playing mainly MTTs and sngs and I now have a BAnkroll at 1350 dollars. i decided that posting everything about my game would help me not loose control and tilt all my money away like i have so far.. Now when i m pissed or tired ill just post here.. Anyways I am now using Bakroll management and not buying into any MTT worth more than 2percent of my BR and about the same for sngs.. AS for cash games, i dont play too many so i dont worry too much about that, still sometimes il do it and i try not to play for more than 5% of my stack.. I dont have too much time now to play as many MTTs(where ifeel I play my best) as i would like to because of college, work and spending time partyign or just chiling with my friends, i think that is really important to be succesful in poker: live a balnced life.. but in a coupel of weeks its sumemr break and i ll always find some time anyways to play during the week and weekend(usually id say i paly aroudn 15 to 30 hours a week).. I am looking forward to the miniFTOPS in MAy, I may play some Of the FTOPS events as well if I win a satellite or if (even though i havent tried this yet) some chipmeup users want to back me.. This past month I have worked especially hard on my game and if you look at my results in April especially you will see the results... Right now I am hoping to improve myself even more and hopefully posting here will help me control my gambling problems.. ANyways hope this wasnt too boring, again I had to do it.. hopefully my next blog will be much more interesting.. I am currently down only 600 for the year but with my improved game, the time ill have during the summer and hopefully no more tilting I will win it back and more, only time can tell..
