Looking back and looking ahead

I hope you enjoyed yourself in 2008, it's nearly come to and end. I heard 2009 might be a disaster year, but I think its all a bit exaggerated. Just to be on the save side, I got rid of all my dollars and bought some stuff I dont really need. I probably should have set some money apart, because I am being evicted in 6 months, (House being demolished :() but sometimes I cant controll myself. To be completely honest I set aside about $1k, but busted out on clearing a bonus in the partycasino. Shame on me.

Looking back at 2008, nothing exciting happened. Im thinking really hard, but nothing comes up. I did have a big fight with my girlfriend and we broke up for about 6 weeks. During that period I played a lot of poker, and made a lot of money. Not because I played very well, but because I had a huge upswing. Funny thing is when she moved back in, things immediatly went into the negative. It's all pretty recent so I havent really had time to analyse it. As it looks now, my girlfriend is -EV, but this is an unproved theory.

Even when going through my own blogs, I cant find anything interesting to summarise. Is my life really that boring? I guess so... I did go to Spain, - Salou for ten days. But I just slept all day on the beach and drank beer in the evenings. Didnt even play 1 hand of poker there, even when I had to sleep in a hotel named Las Vegas every day. Quite stressfull as you might imagine, seeing im a degenerate gambler.

Looking at 2009 I think I have to change some things. I should definitely have awesome things to blog about in the year to come. I could start drinking loads, because things always happen to me when im drunk. But I need to be able to remember it, if Im to blog about it. Blogging with holes in your memory can be a bitch. Nahh I'll have to find another way to spice up my life. Getting my drivers license and going out into the world will be a better idea.

Im 24 years old and Im still not allowed to drive a car. Pretty pathetic, I know. I never really needed it, because I never had anywhere interesting to go, but now I feel it can be of great benefit for my pokerblog. I will be able to play poker all around the world when I get my drivers license!! So Macau, Las Vegas, Dublin, Barcelona and everything else within driving range of the great town Hilversum beware. I will come...
