Team PokerNews veteran Jeroen Marx has just confirmed his appearance at the 2009 PokerNews Cup Alpine. The Dutchman has made numerous appearances on Team PokerNews starting in 2007 when he graced the felt at the inaugural PokerNews Cup Australia. Since then, he has added an array of major tournament appearances to his belt - all this before his 20th birthday! The student starting playing poker a few years ago and currently enjoys No Limit Texas Holdem sit-n-goes and tourneys. It is professional player Steven Van Zadelhoff who Jeroen most looks up to because "he is a great player and is incredibly funny." Jeroen has enjoyed many poker successes both live and online including finishing sixth in the €330 event at the 2008 PokerNews Cup Austria. How did he feel about winning a PokerNews Cup Alpine Freeroll? "I was very excited... Whether I won or not, I was already planning to go to the event to play in some side-events and to have a holiday," explains Jeroen. "This years event has a great location and I cant wait to get picked up by the helicopter." Away from the tables, Jeroen is also passionate about soccer and tennis.
