Team PokerNews is made up of various types of people, from the most diverse backgrounds. Karl-Heinz Metz hails from Bavaria in Germany and is a full time IT Specialist (when not busy winning his way to poker events around the world!). Karl-Heinz has graced the felt at many live tourneys including the 2007 PokerNews Cup Australia and the 2008 PokerNews Cup Austria. He returns to Team PokerNews again to represent the Team at the 2009 Aussie Millions in Crown Casino Melbourne. How did he feel about winning a $12,500 Aussie Millions Package? "I couldn't believe it!" he comments. "I just played the tournament because of the added prizepool... Never thought I could win a package again." Karl-Heinz shared the good news with a fellow Team PokerNews Member he met in a previous live event, before sharing a nice meal and a bottle of wine with his girlfriend. How did it all start for Karl-Heinz? "I always played cards and when a friend taught me how to play Texas Holdem, I found it extremely exciting... I then started to read up about the game," explains the German. Karl-Heinz brings two years of tough poker playing to the tables - will he go home the Champion and AUD$2 Million richer?
