Just under a week before most of you arrive - I know everyone is excited and geared up to go.

A quick note - if you haven't already planned transportation from the airport to Crown Promenade Hotel, we recommend using the Skybus Shuttle - Tickets are $16 one way ($26 return) and are available to purchase online or at the red Skybus booth at the airport.

Visit the Skybus website today to find out more. The journey should take approximately 20 minutes into the city, where they will then give you a complimentary shuttle to your hotel.

William Zemljaric has been playing poker for two years. He is passionate about hockey (playing up to four times a week) and admits that it helps keep his mind fit for a day at the tables. "Hockey and poker are a lot alike as you can always lose to an amateur if you are not prepared!" explains Will. This competitive nature has helped the Canadian secure some notable cashes in his two year poker stint including maintaining some decent top ten finishes. It all started when his mates began a weekly poker night, the rest - as they say - is history. Now Will plays poker both live and online and loves tournaments as "I enjoy the pressure and the mental marathons of ups and downs... but I like to dabble in ring games to warm up." As the Team continues to grow in size, so does the quality of talent thanks to players like Rene Riomar. Rene hails from Harju, Estonia and is a full time entrepreneur by day. He started playing poker after his brother recommended he try out the game... that was a year and a half ago. Now the Estonian plays poker both live and online and his weapon of choice is No Limit Texas Holdem. He admits to spending more time playing tournaments rather than cash games. The modest man claims he hasn't yet won anything remarkable at the tables and felt "pleased" about his $12,500 Aussie Millions Package win. Having played poker on and off for the past eight years, it wasn't until January 2008 that Jacob Rasmussen started taking it seriously as he slowly started to reap the benefits of the game. "Ever since I was a child, I always liked card games. I especially liked poker because it was money based... My dad played with me back then - so thank you, dad!" comments Jacob of his early memories of poker. These days, the student mostly plays poker online with a preference for No Limit Texas Holdem. Nicky Roeg is a true poker professional and is no stranger to the major poker tournament scene. Having played poker for the past three and a half years, Nicky has played in tourneys across the world including the coveted World Series of Poker and the European Poker Tour (EPT). He has even managed to add a few cashes to his belt namely finishing 23rd in the 2007 EPT London and doing extremely well in the 2007 Master Classics of Poker. Outside of the tournament scene, Nicky pens a weekly column for a Dutch poker site, covering topics ranging from poker legalisation all the way up to tips on preparing yourself for a major event.
