We are delighted to welcome teaching assistant, Brennan Hanson to the 2008 Team PokerNews WSOP. Brennan’s journey with poker started four years ago. “I first saw it on television and [subsequently] my friends also started playing poker,” says Brennan. He plays poker both live and online but spends most of his time with the latter. His weapons of choice are No Limit Texas Holdem, Pot Limit Omaha, Omaha High and Omaha High/Low. Brennan prefers sit-n-gos and tournaments over ring games. Winning a $12,500 Team PokerNews Package is Brennan’s biggest poker success to date and he felt very “excited… I came out of my room yelling.” The Canadian celebrated by taking his friends out to dinner and drinks at his girlfriend’s workplace. When not grinding away at the tables, expect to find Brennan hanging out with his friends and planning his next trip to Las Vegas. “I’ve been five times in the last two years,” explains Brennan. This will be his first experience at a major poker tournament and his first time at the World Series.
