Jonathan Canto speelt sinds twee jaar poker. Wat hem kennis deed maken met het spel: “The ‘money-maker’ effect – I started watching the World Series* and got hooked.” Tegenwoordig speelt de management consultant graag live toernooiwn, maar: “I’m used to multi-tabling online so the live action gets slow for me at times.” Jonathans favoriete variant van poker is No Limit Texas Hold’em met een voorkeur voor ringgames. Toen hij de Team PokerNews freeroll won was zijn ervaring als volgt: “an adrenaline rush… a natural high.” Hij gaat verder met zijn uitleg: “I had to wake up at 4am to play the tourney, but it was well worth the time.” Hoe deze Filipijn zijn overwinning vierde? “I went out drinking with friends, of course.” Jonatha vindt zichzelf een echte “gaming junkie”, hij spendeert zijn vrije tijd graag aan het spleen van golf, Pool en videogames.
