Rule #76: No excuses. Play like a champion!

Kevin O’Brien is certainly no stranger to poker and the World Series. Representing Team PokerNews at the year’s biggest poker competition will bring his total of World Series appearances to four. He has even had the privilege of listing “cashing in the World Series Main Event” on his list of many poker successes. “I just recently had a stretch where I won three tournaments in four days,” elaborates Kevin on some of the highlights of his poker career. How did it all begin for this resident of Bound Brook, New Jersey? It started 20 years ago. “I wanted to play with my old man and my uncles,” explains Kevin on why he started playing poker. His current favourite game is “Hi/Lo Roll Your Own… an awesome stud game I play in one of my home games.” He admits to playing poker both live and online with a preference for tournaments. Winning a $12,500 Team PokerNews Freeroll made Kevin feel “awesome!” and he proceeded to celebrate by having “some beers.” What will Kevin’s fourth shot at the World Series be like? Stay tuned to PokerNews.com to find out how Kevin and the rest of Team PokerNews fare at the 39th Annual World Series of Poker!
